Corinne & Pete collectively boast two decades of expertise in the wedding and event industry. Their journey began as DJs in the highly acclaimed wedding band, Hello Gyro, a venture that ultimately inspired the birth of XY Events.
Their dynamic Derbyshire Wedding DJ performances have graced prestigious venues such as Chatsworth House, Hodsock Priory, and Morley Hayes, and they’ve collaborated with an eclectic client base, including esteemed entities like the British Army, Caterham Motors, and De Vere Hotels.
We possess a genuine passion for crafting unforgettable party atmospheres in diverse settings, meticulously tailoring each event to meet your unique desires. How does hiring a wedding dj work?
01. Initial chat
Before you commit, let’s have an online/phone chat to get to know each other. We’ll delve into your dream playlist, answer your questions, and equip you with all the information you need to make an informed decision.
02. PRE SHOW MEET
After your approval, we’ll chat (online/phone/in person) and fill out your Planning Worksheet to personalise your event from start to finish. You can select your music preferences in advance, and guests can even request songs online!
03. The Big Day
On your big day, you’ll enjoy Corinne & Pete as your DJs from 7 pm to midnight, along with a dynamic lighting setup, high-quality sound system, and full insurance coverage for your event.
Included, as standard...
- 2 DJ's, Pete & Corinne from 7pm - Midnight.
- A fully DMX'd light show.
- A professional sound system, including RCF speakers and Subwoofers.
- A meeting to ensure everything is done to your liking.
- You choose the music you want (and don't want) to hear. Guests can make requests online, too!
- Party planning worksheet, allowing you to make your party as personalised as possible. From the grand entrance and first dance, to the finale song!
- We have Public Liability Insurance (PLI), Equipment Insurance, and all of our equipment is Portable Appliance Tested (PAT).

Extras you might be interested in...
- All Day Support. Wedding Hosting, Ceremony Music, Wedding Breakfast Music, including personalised playlists or mixes. Wireless mics and PA for speeches. (£POA)
- Additional Hours. If you want us to DJ beyond midnight, we are able to, providing the venue allows it as well. (£70 per hour)
- Entire Mix Recorded. Listen back to the evening party again, again, and...again! You will receive a link to listen back to the entire mix, whenever you want to! (£30)
- Early Set Up. Normally, we will set up from 5.30pm for a 7PM Start. If you'd like us to set up early, we can do so on the morning of your wedding. (£POA)
